The mayor of the camps: Eagle's gift
Among the many inspiring individuals we've met, 'Eagle' stands out. He was, in many ways, the 'Mayor' of the local camps, dedicated to looking out for his neighbors and even volunteering with us from time to time. We once spoke of a family needing baby clothes, and days later, Eagle and a friend appeared with bags overflowing. His simple yet profound reason: 'no children should have to go without.' His boundless heart, even when he had little himself, taught us the true meaning of generosity and community.

Restoring dignity, fostering connection
Our work at Saintsalive-dna is about more than just providing food, clothing, and personal care items. It's about bringing positivity and recognition to our friends on the street. It's about ensuring they know how incredibly important they are to us, affirming their value and restoring a sense of dignity that too often gets overlooked. Every interaction is an opportunity to uplift spirits and remind someone they are seen and cared for.

Camp in distress
A few year ago we were visiting a camp around Greenlawn ave on the river banks on a regular basis. It was a group camp of about 15 people. We would stop by with basics, water, food, towels and personal care products. One night, pretty late in the evening, we got a call that the camp was completely flooded from a heavy rain storm. We were blessed with enough donations that we could supply them all with new tents, tarps, clothing, blankets etc..
